This is such a funny story! I received this doll for Christmas many years ago. Being the oldest of three, my little sister always got into my dolls and toys while I was at school. One day my mother had given my sister all of my Barbie dolls, clothes and accessories and I was devastated. The next day my sister had acquired my Hi Heidi doll. This was NOT going to happen! I retrieved the doll when she wasn't looking and carefully packed her and my Knickerbocker Sleepyhead doll into an overnight case and hid them way under the house. Recently, my parents (still living in the same house) had plumbing issues and my husband went under the house to assess the problem. Lo and behold! He came back inside holding the overnight case! It only looked vaguely familiar to me (being tucked under the house for 40+ years) until I opened it. She was still beautiful! The belly "button" still activates her wave and other than a little dirt, she is amazing! The hinges on the bottom of the case are broken, but have some very old masking tape still on the inside of the case. Other than that, I don't see any major condition issues with the case. Just a minimal amount of wear, tear and 40+ years of dust. She is wearing a yellow dress (as shown), and there is one red shoe, one large hanger, one small hanger and a blue white lacy skirt. All of her fingers and toes are there, and her hair has NOT been cut. She does need a mild cleaning. Now, to get back to my sister. She really wants this doll, so I've decided to list her on e-bay. I want my sister to earn her! Heidi was very special to me then, but I have no girls to pass her down to now. I truly want her to go to a good home where she will be loved and enjoyed as she was with me. If she doesn't sell, that's perfectly okay with me too! This item is being sold AS IS. Please do not hesitate to e-mail me with any questions, comments or concerns. Thank you for your interest and Happy Bidding! (Good Luck, Sis!)
