This auction is vintage SKIPPER doll from the 70's. She was controversial at the time, because she would "grow up from a child to a woman." She is very pretty, with no marks that I can see. Her hair and face are clean, and her hands and one foot are perfect. She has an orange ribbon in her hair, which cannot be seen in the photo.

Skipper's left leg is broken off at the hip. The mechanism which makes her grow appears to be broken, but since the upper body is a soft vinyl, I hope this will be an easy fix for the buyer. Included is the original red swimsuit and blue neckpiece. The swimsuit is unusual because the crotch is a strap of red elastic, instead of the usual red fabric front to back. This must have facilitated Skipper's "growing."
