This auction is for the Limited Edition 1964 DOLL COLLECTORS MANUAL by The Doll Collectors of America. . This 7" x 10" book has green textured paper cover contains about 120 pages. Among other things, it contains a 30 page article THE DECLINE FALL OF THE WOODEN DOLL by Ruth E. and R.C. Mathes. Ruth Bob Mathes spent 40 years developing their knowledge of dolls, particularly the antique wood doll. They have toured Europe across the US studying these dolls. This article is the most in depth reference I have ever seen on wooden dolls includes many interesting pictures. It contains a wealth of valuable info for anyone interested in learning more about these dolls would be extremely helpful for restoration or duplication of same. Other highlights of this manual include other wood dolls, reprint of an 1898 doll article, fashion ladies, Stringing Of The Jumeau Doll with diagram more. Overall Excellent condition. Pale yellowing minor wrinkles ouitside covers. Name of former owner written on cover page. Otherwise, pages are clean smooth with no creases, writing or tears. No odor.
