ABSINTHE is your classic, Gothic Victorian mourner --- pale, depressed, self-absorbed and extremely addicted to pink black!!!!
She is approx. 15" tall, with a bisque head breastplate, bisque arms to above the wrist legs to above the ankles, with stuffed fabric body limb portions.
In her past life (in the 1970s), she was a previously owned doll. She has no chips, cracks or crazing -- no rips, stains or odors. Her dress is original and does show some fading from age -- but it has been washed refurbished. It has been embellished with a black lace cravat at the neckline and black sateen ribbons blossoms dotted here and there. She has a new, dark brown wig styled in a Victorian roll at the back with long side-tendrils. Her black velveteen mourning bonnet with pink satin ribbon black blossoms is also new, as are her black tights and leatherette boots. Absinthe has received a complete facial repaint --- including her limpid, deep-set anime-style eyes, beauty mark and pale mauve lips.
Her voo-doo doll mascot (comes with her) is a work of art in and of itself! Handcrafted, jointed cloth, with tons of tiny saron braids (each tied with pink bow), handpainted facial features, heart, and lace-up boots, and a dress of soft, dark floral patterned velour. Doll is tied to Absinthe's left wrist with a black ribbon and pinned to the front of her dress for display purposes.
Absinthe can be displayed in a seated position. She cannot stand with the support of a doll stand (NOT included in this auction).

When you buy a doll, bear, or other collectible from me it will be CLEANED AND RESTORED to the best of my ability. I strive to put it into the condition in which I would want to see it in MY OWN COLLECTION! Items are not just wiped off and listed. I evaluate, thoroughly clean and repair them. If there is something that I cannot rectify, it will be mentioned in the listing. I am an artist and a designer, and have been dealing with collectibles most of my life. I am by no means an "expert" in all areas, but I do try to be "informed". My goal is to be PROUD of the items I list, PROUD of the service I provide as an eBay seller, and hopefully to DELIGHT you with the finished product!
