Speaking from experience... it is always a good idea to bid right away on an item you are really interested in and bid the most you are willing to pay for it. eBay only uses the amount of money up to your limit that is needed to win the auction. You will have a better chance of winning that item. Lots of people wait to bid, most of them forget. Sometimes the auction ends at an inconvenient time and you miss out!
Most of my items are purchased at Estate sales, Flea markets, Second hand stores. Therefore, I do not know the history of the item. Or if it is in fact, authentic. I can only go by what I find when I research it on the net, or by my books. If it has been repaired I will not know unless it has been disclosed or is obvious. I usually do not purchase items that are cracked or broken, unless I believe it could be repaired by the buyer and is worth the effort. I will disclose that, along with a picture, in my description. If I should miss something on a piece, it is not intentional. Please let me know if there is a problem. I try my hardest to ship within 72 hours. I also work full-time.
