12" RAIKES BEAR BY ROBERT RAIKES, ORIGINAL TAG ATTACHED (item #103)
Description of bear:
The Raikes bear is 12" tall, sculptured wood face and feet, jointed, and silky- soft brown fur. It has brown glass eyes, brown eyebrows and nose. The warm, friendly face is beautifully sculptured.
Description of tag:
The tag identifies the bear as an authentic Raikes bear, named "Cookie." A limited number were made; this one is No. 660330. The attached price tag was $29.50.
Condition of doll:
She is in very good condition; there are no odors or marks. However, I do not have the box or papers (if they ever existed) for her.
Acquisition of dolls:
I purchased several dolls and bears locally from an elderly woman who has been collecting these for over 20 years.
I have many more dolls and bears, many identified by more brands and dates, that I will be listing in the next couple weeks.

Shipping and handling:
Each of my dolls is carefully packed in plastic, styrofoam and/or bubble wrap and shipped in sturdy boxes. When brown paper is used, it is 100% recycled paper. Shipping costs include a handling fee to help cover packing expenses including materials and labor. I invite you to read my blog entry regarding expenses incurred by myself and other sellers.
Shipping discounts:
Shipping discounts are available on combined shipping when one payment is made for multiple purchases; however, I must limit the number of dolls to a reasonable number in any one boxed shipment to avoid overpacking and possible damage.
Insurance:
Insurance is optional, but encouraged.
Delivery dates:
During the week, I usually ship within 48 hours after the payment has been processed. I offer shipping by Parcel Post to try to keep shipping costs down. However, parcel post can take 2-9 business days. Once the shipment has been made, I have no control of the delivery date.
Feedback rating:
I have maintained a high feedback rating by offering nice products and reasonable costs. I try to be ethical in transactions, accurate in describing the items, and prompt in shipment. I intend to continue and improve my careful attention to buyers. Thank you!
